Well, I did it. I finally made the one recipe that had intimidated me for weeks. Turns out, it wasn't as hard as it looks (yay, puns)! Inspired by a friend's weekly baking project and my department's impending Christmas potluck, I figured I'd make something black, white, and red all over using this recipe. This is the perfect holiday recipe that combines chocolate and peppermint flavors, plus a festive crunch. All it takes a little bit of speed, elbow grease, and good judgment.
